2024 - Polly Farmer Foundation
Yesterday our Polly Farmer Foundation STEM Excellence Club students were visited by Jeromy Harvey from
Rio Tinto Iron Ore - WA Indigenous Employment
.
Students were taught how to make simple catapults out of pop sticks and spoons.
Jeromy also explained what push/pull forces are used when changing the iron ore train brakes out on site. Students got to see a brakeshue used on the iron ore trains and the leaver used to remove them.
